New Job!
I graduate from Grad school on Dec 19th. We both have been very worried about our financial situation for a while now with this deadline approaching. Mike has a great new job as a Vault Teller in a Bank a couple of towns over. I was just worried about having a lot of new bills come up like our new house payment and my student loans. Yuck! So i really needed to find a job before I graduate. About a month ago I interviewed for a job at a place called Lifestream. This is a local Area Agency on Aging that provides all sorts of services for older adults. The provide housing, transportation, food, advocacy, and so much more. This would be the best place to work in my field. I kinda gave up hope of hearing back from them. But then today, they called! I could not be any happier, but now I have to go shopping. I have very few professional looking outfits to wear. I will be the new In-Home case manager. This means I will stop by my set of clients homes and make sure they are getting the services that they need. It's monday through friday, 8-5. Which is perfect because that is what Mike works. So we are both very excited. I think tonight we are going out to dinner to celebrate! I start the Week after Thanksgiving. (im nervous) and then I will still have school on Thursdays (so I will be part time for a while) until I graduated in December! Oh man this has been a very happy and exciting month for us.

We Bought A House!
Mike and I had been wanting to buy a house eventually. Lately we heard a lot of people talking about buying a house and we wanted to do it too, we then started looking around. Mike's mom knew a really good realtor and we started working with him. He set us up on this list where we get emails when a new house goes up on the market. One day we got an email while mike was a work I wanted to drive by and look into this one that seemed promising. When he got home he was interested in that one too (having gotten the same email while he was at work). We had looked at a million that just didn't work for us. We wanted a house that had a yard that we could eventually fence in, a garage for mike's motorcycle, a good size kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. This house we found was great it had all of that except it was only 2 bedrooms, and it has hardwoods under the nasty carpets. We looked at it the next night. We were the first people to see it and made an offer on it right away, we did not want to miss out on this great deal.
This house was a foreclosure so we got it at a great price. we can afford this for cheaper than renting anywhere else. And since we are living rent free right now we can take our time and remodel our new home and not have to deal with two payments. We have been trying to get this house for a month and a half, because it takes a long time to get a bank owned house.
This house is very exciting for us and Mike loves projects, Luckily I married a great man who knows how to: rip out a wall, ceiling, trees, hang fences, electrical, plumbing, you name it he can do it. and I'm good at supervising! (that's what he tells me!)
so here are a few pictures of our new home before renovations.
This is the front of our house. Its soo cute! and pretty close to Ball States campus so if we every move out we can use it as a rental, which is our ultimate goal in the future.
This is the sun room, it will be a laundry room/ dinning room eventually. the sliding glass doors open up into the back yard.
Here is a picture of the back yard it is kinda L shaped around the back of the garage. It will be really great to have a yard right now we have NONE, at all. we have gravel drive way with about a foot of grass, which is really the neighbors front yard..... so having a yard will be awesome!

This is a nasty bathroom. It is a good size but just yuck, we are going to gut the whole thing and just start over.

I love the kitchen. there is sooo much counter space and really nice cabinets!! the whole house has new windows in it too which is great!

This is the tree on the side of the house that mike trimmed up. If you look back to the first picture you can kinda see how big this pine tree is. It went all the way to the ground and was really thick. It is also right outside the kitchen window soo all you could see was tree.... yuck. but now i kinda love this tree.
So, Look forward for more renovations to come. SO exciting!

Run Run Run
So I wish I wrote in this more. SO here I am making an effort.
I am Stuck at my internship waiting for a MILLION of papers to be copied. So what better thing to do than sit here and update my life.
We have been going to the Gym that is exciting. I have gained some weight in the past couple years which seems to happen when people get in a serious relationship and start to cook a lot. Cooking for 2 is kinda hard sometimes. I like to make a lot. So to me joining the Gym was a no brainer.
I actually really love it. I can now run almost a whole mile straight in about 12.5 mins. (No laughing) It is way hard. But i am improving. and that's what matters. Mike has even gotten to where he enjoys going (not that he needs to) but hes a good husband and realizes that I need his physical support so I can lose weight. So far I've lost about 4ish pounds. Which isnt as good as I would like but... its a start.
So incentive is Kristin's Wedding. Which is not until June, but i have to buy a bridesmaid dress. they are super cute and I wanna get it to look nice too.

Life Update
Well Life is great. Michael and I are now married! Crazy. I have pictures to prove it. Finally. It took a while longer than we wanted to actaully get the pictures back, but thats okay. So how's life as newlyweds you ask? It's Great! Tons of things are different around here.
Mike just started a new job. I couldn't be more proud of him. I have to get a picture of him before he goes to work one day, he looks so good. He has to wear a tie! He is working at a Bank a couple of towns over. There is a little drive for him, but I don't think he minds too much.
I am officially finished with actual classes for Grad School. Next semester I will still be working at the CCVA (the community center for older adults). And I've got an internship working for one of my mother-in-laws friends. She runs Muncie Downtown Development. I will get to be in charge of finding volunteers and putting them to work at all the downtown events Muncie has, such as Ribfest, Munciegras, all the Art-walks, and Movies in the Streets. All sorts of things. I am excited about it. The lady who will be my boss reminds me a lot of Erin Sullivan. Too much fun. But that doesnt actually start until School starts back up at the end of Aug.
So back to the fact that I'm married now. Here are some pictures.
Mikes mom was in charge of decorations. She did an amazing job on the church I thought it was soooo pretty, it was just exactly what I had pictured as a little girl.

This one is just so darn cute! I like this one a lot.
I liked this one too:

This one is of my dad... so silly. We didnt have a lot of time to discuss what he was to do with me when we got up there and as a result we all had a laugh about it.
I thought the wedding was really light hearted and sweet. I liked it a lot. The pastor did a great job, and I was really happy to be able to have it in the church I grew up in.
On our honeymoon we also had a blast. we went to Gatlinburgh. what an odd little place. really there are so many random places and buildings I would have expected to see in Vegas. We did go to the Aquarium.

And to the Smokie Mountains.
So, Thats an update on my life in the last almost 3 months. Oh man crazy.
There has been a lot of fun and so much more that I can't remember for sure. But I'm going to try to keep this updated more, then its not one big post.

So Soon
The semester is winding down. I have finished all of my school and work - assignments. So that means I am totally finished with school, except I just have to attend.
Today I have been at work. I work in a really old beautiful building.
Yulp that's what it looks like.
BUT the office I work in is a Community Center for Older Adults.
I love my job, but the back room is a MESS!! and no one that works here cleans... except for me. So seeing that I an totally finished with school work and my boss is sick today I decided to clean my little heart out. And I will tell you that room looks amazing.
See they keep EVERYTHING, bc like most older adults (think of your gma) they keep it all no matter what. and my boss wont let me trash anything, even if its TRASH, like an empty box.
In other news, I'm getting married in less than TWO WEEKS. I'm very excited. Mike and I both are. I think we are all ready, except the music list. We are still working on that for the reception. I'm really excited.
I'm excited to see all my friends and family, but nervous to have so many different types of people all in the same room.... It will be interesting that's for sure!

We are going to see..

So this is my first blog on this thing. I've been waiting for something exciting to share. Today I found it. I love watching 'Jon and Kate plus 8' and I just discovered that Kate Gosselin is coming to Indy in Feb! This is so exciting. I waited all day to Mike to get home from work to tell him about it. She is speaking at the Indianapolis Home Show. He was excited to go just to the home show even before he knew about Kate. Then he was thrilled... We are going for sure! I pretty much want to be like her when I have twins....
